Atos pursues its external growth strategy in the cybersecurity sector with the acquisition of IDnomic, a French specialist in public key infrastructures (PKI).
In negotiation since the summer, the acquisition of IDnomic by Atos is official.
The amount of the transaction is not communicated, only its 2018 turnover of € 17 million is made public.
Created in 2004 under the name of Keynetics, this PKI specialist (Public Key Infrastructure or PKI) had acquired OpenTrust in 2011.
We find its technology solutions in the areas of encryption, information, the securing of biometric passport data, or the authentication of IoT sensors.
IDnomic claims 200 customers in 25 countries and its solutions are distributed and integrated by major ESNs such as Sopra Steria, Accenture, or Orange Business Services.
IDnomic’s expertise in PKI technology comes in many everyday uses to protect the digital identities of people, machines and connected objects.
These Software as a Service (SaaS) trusted solutions complement Atos’ cybersecurity product offerings – including identity and access management solutions, data protection, security certificate management, and security of IoT. ” Says Atos.
The IDnomic team is made up of more than 100 specialists and joins Atos’ cybersecurity division, which has more than 5,000 distributed in 14 Security Operations Centers (SOCs) around the world.
